basophil reactivity to the causal allergen during the follow-up ,with a mean of (35%)
in G1 compared to a positive and to a negative witness. However, we did not notice
any change in G2 with a mean basophil reactivity of (62%).Indeed, the basophil
reactivity was strongly correlated with the clinical response .The basophil
activation test (BAT) has a good sensitivity (42.9%) and specificity (57.1%) according
to our study results. We did not report any severe systemic SLIT side effect in G1.
CONCLUSIONS
Our study showed that the basophil activation test seems to be an accurate
biomarker allowing the selection of the best sublingual immunotherapy
responders for a precision medicine.
